Materials & Craftsmanship

Snowboard Craftsmanship

Every Wired board is built with:

  • Poplar / Paulownia / Birch wood cores for the perfect strength-to-weight ratio
  • Triaxial fibreglass layers for responsiveness and flex tuning
  • Entropy Super SAP 305 eco-resin (USDA Certified BioPreferred)
  • Full urethane sidewalls for vibration dampening and durability
  • Sintered IS 7500 base — fast, hard, and sublimated for vivid graphics
  • Rockwell 48 steel edges with rubber dampening
  • Matte or semi-gloss topsheets — no toxic lacquers used

History

Founded by industry veteran Rob Dow, Wired has become one of the most respected names in core snowboard manufacturing. With decades of experience and thousands of custom shapes built, Rob and the team are at the forefront of functional design, rider-first engineering, and environmentally conscious production.

Riders

Wired supports a crew of real-world riders — not just podium pros but mountain-town locals, backcountry chargers, and everyday legends. It’s about connection to the craft and the culture, not clout.

Why HØB Chose Wired

HØB chose Wired because it’s not just a brand—it’s a factory, a community, and a crew of people who care. Every HØB snowboard is made at Wired by hands that ride, with shapes we’ve tested and specs we believe in.

“When we say handcrafted in Vancouver, we mean it. No hype. Just pure shred.”
